Black and Blue

I am standing on the shore, the water is black, the rocks are large. I am watching the water as faces form, they are morphed into the waves, they move into grey. I am curious as to why they are there. I see the moon the way it glitters the surface, I don't feel the cold air, I only know that it is cold.

Black on Blue

Sloshing she rocks
Air ice in her lungs.

Eyes upon the surface

In the current wave of Faces.
They are white.
White.
Pulled into black
and they swirl with the motions

Reflected light tickles the surface
Sparkles as it follows

The sky.
    The black.
Those little lights

The sea beneath
Waves that pull

I taste the salt
feel the trails.
Warmth rolls,
    drips, and stares.

Rockaby
He lulls

The story that has been told
Flows
Thumps beneath my toes

Light that freckles the sky
Light that pulls the sea beneath

Black
Black on black
The faces blend
Swirled into grey

Reflections they may be.
Reflections of past. Floating on the skin

Standing still
Paused on planks

Placated
The world stops its swirl

I wait for the sun to rise
I wait for

This idea is driving me NUTS, these faces that swirl. The words they came and I didn’t hit SAVE. They are gone…and this is what I could piece together.

Love, love, sweet, sweets.
